Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Orlando comes with 30 tracks you can choose to listen to while riding, but these selectable songs only scratch the surface. There are dozens more Secret Songs you can unlock if you’re looking to expand your roller coaster listening experience. It’s quick and easy, but you’ll need to know the number of the song you want to hear first. There isn’t a menu that shows these songs on the screen that’s embedded in the lap restraint, and they don’t let you take your phone on the ride. There are metal detectors, so you’ll need to stow it in a locker before you even get in line, so you’ll want to look at the list first and remember your song number.
Here’s what you need to do…
First, after securing the lap restraint, push and hold down on the “Rip Ride Rockit” logo at the top of the screen for a count of 10 seconds.
After a count of 10 seconds, release your finger. The next screen will not appear until you release!
You should hear a little confirmation sound, and then this next screen will appear.
Now just punch in the three number code of the song you want to play, and hit enter. That’s it!
You’ll get a little message saying that this song can’t be used in the video recording that you can buy, but if you see that, it’s confirmation that it worked. Also, sometimes the keypad can be a little inaccurate. Make sure you’re entering the number that you actually want.
